Cell C cares for our community and we'd like to show you how.

Cell C gives the soccer
stars of the future a
chance to shine

Cell C recognises the power of soccer to unite South Africans around the counry and has supported various soccer initiatives since 2006, including Sidlala Sonke, the community soccer tournaments. More than 30 tournaments are hosted each year throughout the country, in conjunction with local communities and the South African Football Association.

Flattening fields to make way for soccer pitches, installing goals and nets, providing dedicated children's supervision and cleaning up the surrounding areas are just a few of the ways Cell C is lending a hand. What's more, we're empowering the community by using local goods and services to achieve our goals. And because greatness should never go unrewarded Cell C puts up the prize money for the winning teams too.

To date tournaments have been sponsored in Soweto, Orange Farm, Phokeng, Attridgeville, Mamelodi, Randfontein, Umlazi, Madadeni, Pietermaritzburg, Witbank, Middleburg, Bushbuckridge, Nelspruit, Secunda, Claremont, Kwa Thema, Bloemfontein, Port Shepstone, Richards Bay and Germiston.

Gospel Lifestyle
takes you to a
higher place

Cell C is South Africa's greatest supporter of local gospel music. We want to get gospel fans from around the country singing their praises with our Gospel Lifestyle initiative. Gospel Lifestyle creates a platform for upcoming local gospel groups at community events, which children can attend for free. Cell C also chooses to use local suppliers and venues for our events so we can make the most of the talent in Mzansi.

Gospel Festival
Since 2007, several Cell C Gospel Concerts have been staged in partnership with major radio stations, print and broadcasting partners. These concerts were held in Durban, Soweto, Venda, Nelspruit and Umtata.

Gospel Music awards
Since 2008 Cell C has been the sponsor of the SABC Crown Gospel Awards, an event that recognises and rewards gospel artists for their contribution to the music industry. In the build-up to the music awards, Cell C also sponsors the Iziko Gospel Music Convention. The convention's main objective is to make artists aware of how the industry works.

Gospel Gold TV Show
Cell C has partnered with SABC 1's Gospel Gold music show, which features the best gospel music videos, profiles of artists and music news. The sponsorship involves staging events, running competitions and giving away great prizes.
