how does mms work?
It’s easy and uncomplicated.
First of all, your phone needs to support GPRS in order for you to receive MMS on your phone. If your phone doesn’t support GPRS you can still receive MMS by using the Web as your phone.
MMS can be sent and received:
Cell C phone to Cell C phone, Cell C phone to other networks, web to Cell C phone, Cell C phone to email
To activate your phone with MMS you can:
- Request MMS settings at anytime by simply dialling *147#.
- You will then receive MMS settings on your cellphone.
- If prompted for a PIN, please enter 1234.
- All you have to do is to save the settings you receive.
- Then switch off your cellphone and turn it on again after a few seconds.
With the activation process a confirmation will appear informing you as to whether or not your cellphone is MMS compatible. If it is not MMS compatible you will be able to use the web site as a MMS p
one to receive MMS’s. In which case you will receive an SMS with a logon address, message id and password. If your cellphone is not compatible, you can still enjoy sending MMS via the Cell C Web by
simply registering (if you have not done so before) or logging in and activate MMS.
