A letter from our WINC Women in New York City winner
Avid Sex & the City fan and WINC Women in New York City winner, Nokulunga Busisiwe Zulu is back from her seven-day trip to the big Apple, and wrote to Cell C to express her gratitude in this very heartfelt letter:
Dearest Cell C,
Every time I start this letter I find myself stuck. This is the 5th attempt and it’s way over due.
I can’t begin to explain what the New York trip has brought to my life. You gave me an opportunity to show the people who mean the most to me how much I love and appreciate them in a way I could have never dreamed of doing in my lifetime. The experience for me was absolutely life changing. I am a different woman, I have international travel experienceJ I don’t know if you know what that means for me. I feel so empowered, I can do anything and go anywhere.
New York was a dream. The anticipation as we left O.R Tambo International. Being ushered through to Business Class on flight. We were treated like royalty. Arriving at JFK and having limousines waiting to transport us to the hotel. Seeing the city unfold I felt I was not really there and was watching myself from somewhere outside my body. The hotel was beautiful, the organised tours were as if specifically designed for us. Dinner at Nobu was an experience on its own. The Hard Rock Cafe’ was so full of history and beautiful and fun. Mama Mia was exquisite, we all enjoyed it and were singing along to every song. My 60 year old mother, 52 year old aunt, my friend Nokwazi who’s 34 and myself. Four generations of woman having a good time. The Sex and the City Tour was something else. Seeing all the places the girls had been, that I’ve seen on the series and the movie was super amazing.
As I said it’s really hard to put into words what I feel. You made the trip about us. It was a personal experience and really felt like a gift. I can’t thank you enough. I am the best daughter my mother could dream of, my Aunt thinks I’m a gift and I am the best friend a girl can have. All because of Cell C.
Thank you so much Cell C and believe I am with you for life.
Lunga
