With controlchat, managing your cellphone bill has never been easier

Controlchat offers you the best of both worlds - you get the stability and benefits of a contract with the freedom to choose upfront how much you want to spend each month, just like prepaid.

You get to choose a contract period of 12 or 24 months and for the duration of your contract a set amount will be debited from your bank account and credited to your cellphone account every month.

Calls are now charged at an all-day flat rate according to the New All Day tariff plan. Existing controlchat customers can change to the new plan or choose between Easychat Standard and Per Second Billing.

Once you have reached your monthly contract limit - and really need to make that call - you can simply top up your airtime immediately with Cell C's instant recharge.

You can accumulate a maximum airtime balance equal to three times your controlchat monthly credit amount (i.e. controlchat 50 where you get R50 of value you can carry over R150). Note: the maximum rollover amount excludes any additional recharges that you make.

Unused SMS's will not rollover to the next month.

So what do you get with each controlchat package?

controlchat 50 gives you 25 free monthly SMS's
controlchat 100 gives you R115 airtime and 100 free monthly SMS's
controlchat 300 gives you R350 airtime and 100 free monthly SMS's

A special discounted rate of up to 16% on your selected seven friends and family numbers
The New All Day flat rate benefit does not qualify for Friends and Family.
When you have exhausted your monthly Top Up, you can Top Up using any Cell C chatcards/recharge vouchers at any time or with Cell 's instant recharge Controlchat 300 and higher.
Value Pack cover is a value added service that comes standard on all business contracts. It covers for loss or theft and has extended warranty on the cellphone but does not cover physical damage.

If you want to sign up for controlchat, you need to take the following to your nearest service provider:

Your green barcoded ID book (unfortunately, no drivers licence cards are accepted)
Proof of your physical or postal address (an account posted to you and depicting your postal or residential address)
Your latest payslip (Minimum salary required: R1 500)
Your latest 3 months bank statements
Additional documents may be requested by credit vetting department when required.
A debit order is a mandatory requirement.
