Boost your business performance with BlackBerry Enterprise Solution (BES)

The BlackBerry Enterprise Solution provides companies with an in-house mail server which allows mobile workers to access email communications wirelessly, whether it's web-based information or a corporate email account. In addition to this, all the benefits of the BIS VAS are also part of BES.

Subscribers will only be able to use the full benefits of the BES VAS (and access their corporate email account) under the condition that the business (or the IT company to whom the business outsources, if applicable) has acquired a BlackBerry BES server to manage remote email access through BlackBerry. This means that a Cell C customer whose corporation doesn't run an email BES server will still be able to use ALL the BIS features and services that are part of BES, but will not be able to use the corporation applications.

BES is available to Cell C subscribers as a value added service for a monthly fee that is valid for 30 days for prepaid and controlchat and a monthly re-curring fee for contract subscribers.

You can purchase this service now on any existing Cell C package or by dialling *147# and then choosing option 7 or by calling our call center (dial 140).

Benefits

  • Unlimited data usage on the BlackBerry handset*, including: social networking (e.g. Facebook, BlackBerry Messenger, Twitter), sending and receiving emails, and web browsing.
  • Pre -determined applications (Facebook, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, BB Messenger, Windows Live Messenger and the BB Application Centre) will be sent to the customer's handset upon service activation

  • The subscriber's employer must have an in-house BlackBerry email server to enable the subscriber to access his corporate email account and corporate applications. Failing this back-end infrastructure at the corporate email end, the fact that BES has been activated on the device will not be sufficient for corporate email to run on the BlackBerry device
  • Corporate applications (e.g. calendars)
