Our family plans operate on a straightforward principle: when you purchase a plan, it covers the entire family. The benefits are distributed as follows in the case of death:

Children 14 to 20 years

You will receive 75% of the benefit

Children 6 to 13 years

Who can apply for
Cell C Funeral cover

Cell C Funeral cover is open to Cell C prepaid customers aged 18 to 64. You can sign up until the day before your 65th birthday. To be eligible, you need a valid South African ID. You'll pay a monthly premium for this coverage. Accidental death is covered as soon as you pay your first premium, while natural death has a 6-month waiting period, and suicide has a 12-month waiting period.

Prepaid customers will have their premiums deducted from their available airtime.

We will pay the benefit to the named beneficiary's.

You will be provided a "grace period" of 30 days in which the outstanding premium must be paid. If two successive premiums are unmet your policy will be cancelled.

To lodge a claim, Worldwide Advisory Services (Pty) Ltd needs to be notified of the Death of the Family member by dialing 084 157 0007 option 4 or emailing the claims department on claims@cellcfuneral.co.za
