WHAT IS INTERNATIONAL CALLING?

International Calling is a service that allows Cell C subscribers to make calls from South Africa to any other country in the world.

I'M ON PREPAID CAN I ACTIVATE INTERNATIONAL CALLING?

Prepaid subscribers already have International Calling activated and can start making calls anytime.

HOW DO I ACTIVATE INTERNATIONAL CALLING IF I'M ON CONTRACT?

Contract customers need to contact Cell C Customer Care (140) or their service provider to activate this service.

HOW ARE INTERNATIONAL CALLS BILLED?

International calls are charged at a per minute rate, but billed per second.

All pricing reflected in the Tariff Table are VAT Inclusive.

CAN I USE SUPACHRAGE FREE MINUTES TO MAKE INTERNATIONAL CALLS?

No, SUPACHARGE minutes can only be used to make calls from Cell C to Cell C in South Africa.

CAN I USE MY STRAIGHT UP INCLUSIVE MINUTES TO MAKE INTERNATIONAL CALLS?

No, Straight Up minutes can only be used to make calls from Cell C to any local South African network.

HOW MUCH DO I PAY FOR AN INTERNATIONAL SMS?

The International SMS rate is R1.70 to all countries and networks.

HOW MUCH DO I PAY FOR AN INTERNATIONAL MMS?

The International MMS rate is R4.50 to certain countries.

WHAT ARE INTERNATIONAL PREMIUM RATED NUMBERS AND WHY IS IT CHARGED DIFFERENTLY?

Premium Rated numbers are, for example, competition lines, special services or any other Value Added Services.

As in South Africa, these numbers are charged at an additional cost.

You will need to send the MMS to both the country and operator listed above. Please check with the person to whom you are sending the MMS, which operator they use.

WHY CAN I NOT SEND MMSs TO OTHER COUNTRIES

Cell C is busy working with operators around the world, which is an on-going project and we will continue to update the list of countries and operators

  • When you receive the settings save them
  • If you are asked for a password, enter 1234 to save

  1. Introduction

    1. These terms and conditions are to be read together with the terms and conditions as contained in your starter pack.

    2. All Prepaid and Least Cost Routing customers benefit from the international calling rates, subject to the exclusion set out below.

    3. All Postpaid customers who have inclusive minutes in their contract cannot use these minutes for international calling. Such international minutes will be billed separately. The customer’s inclusive minutes, SMS and data will not apply to calls, SMSs/MMSs to international numbers when the customer is dialing from South Africa. The customer will be billed separately (at the applicable rates) for calls, SMSs/MMSs to international numbers.

    4. All Top Up customers who have inclusive minutes in their contract cannot use these minutes for international calling. Before making an international call, please ensure that an airtime recharge is performed first. The customer’s inclusive minutes, SMS and data will not apply to calls, SMSs/MMSs to international numbers when the customer is dialing from South Africa. The customer will be billed separately (at the applicable rates) for calls, SMSs/MMSs to international numbers.

    5. Community Service Telephone customers are excluded from the benefitting from the international calling rates.

    6. All rates are flat rates and are per minute rates billed on a per second basis.

    7. All rates apply to fixed line and mobile calls unless specified

    8. These rates apply to voice calls only.

    9. Premium rated calls are excluded.

    10. National calls remain unaffected and will be charged as per the customers’ current price plan and product.

  2. General

    1. In the event of any dispute, Cell C's decision shall be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

    2. Cell C may amend, modify or otherwise change these terms and conditions in its sole and absolute discretion and the amended version will be displayed in the same media as these terms and conditions. Cell C will notify you before Cell C amends or otherwise changes the terms and conditions. By participating or continuing to participate in the Promotion, you agree and understand that you will be bound by the amended terms and conditions.

    3. Cell C and any of its agents, directors or employees shall not be responsible in any way for claims, loss or damage suffered by you or any third party arising out of the Promotion.

    4. If required, as a result of changes in legislation, or for any other reason, Cell C shall have the right to extend this Promotion or terminate it immediately. Cell C will notify you before Cell C extends or terminates the Promotion. In the event of extension or termination, it is important that you understand that you waive any rights that you may have in terms of the Promotion and acknowledge that you will have no recourse against Cell C, its directors, agents, employees and promoters.
