This first-of-its-kind bundle will protect your family and settle your cell phone bill if you no longer can. With Cell C Pay Bill Assist, if you can't pay, Pay Bill Assist can!
In the event of an accident, illness, injury, involuntary unemployment, accidental death, natural death, unpaid maternity and unpaid post-childbirth leave, Cell C Pay Bill Assist can help you to pay your cell phone bill. The bundle also includes a pay-out of up to R10 000 in the case of natural or accidental death. And there's more! Depending on your bundle selection monthly recurring data will be added to your contract.
Cell C Pay Bill Assist is available as a data bundle offering, or is included in certain Postpaid and Hybrid Cell C packages.

Cell C Pay Bill Assist helps Cell C Subscribers to continue to pay their cellular bills and maintain the cost of their handsets if they are unable to work due to death, accident, illness, involuntarily unemployment, and unpaid maternity or unpaid post-childbirth leave. The benefit is included at no cost to you in your Cell C Postpaid/Hybrid contract or is a value added benefit which is included within your data bundle.
“Subscriber” means a customer of Cell C who has purchased a mobile phone package from Cell C that includes Pay Bill Assist or purchases the Pay Bill Assist Data Bundle and who has been an active subscriber for three months, is between the age of 18 (eighteen) years and 65 (sixty five) years and is in permanent employment and is not retired or in full time education. These benefits cease on the termination of your Cell C Postpaid/Hybrid Product.
Benefits
If within your Pay Bill Assist contract period you sustain any of the following incidents, we will pay the following benefit to be credited against your subscriber account:
Accident Benefit
For the employed and the self-employed, benefits of up to R2 000 a month are paid for up to 6 (six) months following an accident that causes injury or illness which keeps the Subscriber away from work for a minimum of five consecutive working days as confirmed by a qualified medical practitioner.
Illness Benefit
For the employed and the self-employed, benefits of up to R2 000 a month are paid for up to 6 (six) months following an illness which keeps the Subscriber away from work for a minimum of five consecutive working days as confirmed by a qualified medical practitioner
Unemployment
For the employed, if a Subscriber becomes unemployed their Cell C Subscriber account will be paid by Cell C, up to R2 000 a month for up to 6 (six) months, involuntarily and without fault following a mandatory redundancy and who is actively seeking work
Maternity Benefit
The cover is offered for up to 3 (three) months at up to R2 000 a month for unpaid female maternity leave from permanent employment.
Post-Childbirth Benefit
The cover is offered for up to 3 (three) months of up to R2 000 a month for unpaid Post-Childbirth leave from permanent employment by any natural or adoptive parent other than the natural mother.
Death Benefit
The cover is offered as a capital payment of R10 000 upon the death of the Subscriber. The Cell C Subscriber account will be paid/settled by Cell C and any amount in excess of the amount owed will be paid to the Subscriber's next of kin (as determined by Cell C).
How do I make a claim?
You must notify the administrator within 3 (three) months in the event of an incident. You can contact the administrator by dialing 084 157 0007 (Option 2) or alternatively you can email cellc@paybillassist.co.za. A dedicated consultant will explain the process to you and confirm the documents required. Should you meet the terms and conditions and all documentation is in order then any amount owed, up to the benefit maximum, will be paid directly to Cell C. In the event of an accidental or natural death incident any remaining benefit, after the settlement of your account with Cell C, will be paid to your next of kin. There is no incident fee payable under this Benefit.
What is my monthly cost?
There is no monthly cost for this section of Pay Bill Assist. The benefit is included at no cost to you in your Cell C Postpaid/Hybrid contract.
Who benefits?
The qualifying Subscriber of a Postpaid/Hybrid contract with Cell C.
What is the benefit?
Payment of the Cell C contract debt of up to R2 000 a month for up to 6 months in a 12-month period in the event of an Accident, Illness and Unemployment which prevents the Subscriber from working.
Payment of the Cell C contract debt of up to R2 000 a month for up to 3 months in a 12-month period in the event of: unpaid maternity leave or post-childbirth leave.
Payment of R10 000 in respect of Accidental Death and Natural Death benefits.
What is my monthly cost?
There is no monthly cost. The benefit is included at no cost to you on certain Cell C Postpaid/Hybrid contracts.

How do I access my Benefits?

What is not included?
Industrial Action/Strikes in which the Subscriber participates cannot be covered as it would be a voluntary decision. Inability to pay Cellular Bills due to financial hardship is also not covered unless it is a listed benefit.
What's the value of the benefit?
Maximum benefit of up to R2 000 per month for up to 6 months on all other than for Maternity/Post Childbirth up to R2 000 per month for up to 3 months.
R10 000 for the Death Benefit.
Please note that you will not receive any more value than what you owe on your Subscriber Contract other than for the Death Benefit (as determined by Cell C).
Do I need to pay an excess or incident fee at incident stage?
