We are always trying to make life a little easier for you and your family, particularly when it comes to providing easily accessible services for use in an emergency. Cell C MiAssist will give you peace of mind that you will be assisted in any emergency. MiAssist is best suited to families and small business owners, who need to locate and ensure the safety of their loved ones and employees.

MiAssist is available to all Cell C contract customers for only R49 per month and is available for you to download from your App store.

In an emergency situation you have an option of a Medical, Hi-jack or Home Invasion panic button. Pressing any of the Panic Buttons will send an alert and your location details to an emergency service provider.


Medical Panic

In the event of a medical emergency, a crisis manager will immediately dispatch a road or air ambulance, staffed by qualified emergency medical care practitioners. Life-saving support will be provided to the patient and, where relevant, transfer provided to the closest applicable medical facility.


Home Invasion Panic

In the unfortunate event where a beneficiary's home has been invaded, the beneficiary will have access to Home Invasion Panic via the 24/7 MiAssist app.


Hi-Jack Panic

In the unfortunate event of the beneficiary being involved in a hi-jacking, the beneficiary will have access to Hi-jack Panic via the MiAssist app.

Home Assist

Available 24 hours a day / 365 days a year

Our Home Assistance programme provides assistance to you when you are involved in a Home Emergency. A Home Emergency includes any sudden, unexpected and/or unforeseen event at your home requiring the immediate and/ or urgent services of a domestic tradesman to limit/ minimise or prevent further damage to the home, e.g. plumber, locksmith.


Vehicle Assist

Available 24 hours a day / 365 days a year

These services include:

  • Change of a flat tyre
  • Fuel assistance
  • Flat battery
  • Keys locked in vehicle
  • Minor roadside-running repairs related to breakdowns

Driver Assist

24-hour Driver Assistance

There is no need to provide the many reasons why not to drive drunk - the consequences are well-known. With our Driver Assistance service which is easily available, there is no justification for taking a chance.  Relax, have a great evening, and let Driver Assistance take you and your car home safely.


Legal Assist

24-hour Legal Assistance

A comprehensive legal assistance service to the individual and his/her immediate family. Qualified lawyers and legal consultants as well as academics provide the service telephonically.

  1. How do I get the MiAssist app?

    After activation of MiAssist, you will be asked go to to create your profile. Download the Cell C MiAssist app on your phone. The app is available for free from your app store. Login to the app using your registered cellphone number which would already be verified and activated. You are now registered for MiAssist and can begin using it.

  2. How does it work?

    You will login to the MiAssist app and select the emergency service you require. The app will use your location and route your emergency to the relevant emergency service provider Call Centre. The emergency service provider will contact you and provide the service.

  3. Do I have to switch on my GPS / location?

    Yes, it is important that you enable the app to use your location as this will be critical in case of an emergency. Your location will be used to dispatch the emergency service provider to you, especially when you cannot be contacted or are unable to respond.

  4. What if I press the panic button by mistake?

    If you press the Panic Button by mistake, you can cancel the panic. There will be a five second countdown displayed on the phone and you can cancel any time before the counter reaches zero.
