Where can I sign up for this plan?

The plans will be available via the following channels only:

  • Online (new line activations)
  • Retentions Call Centre (upgrades/renewals)

Can I take out a SIM only contract?

Yes, MediaPlay is available as a SIM only plan on a month-to-month contract. 

Is there a carry-over of the included minutes, SMS and data?

There is a one calendar month carryover of any unused inclusive value, namely voice minutes, SMS and data.

  • This carryover only applies to the inclusive value of the monthly package
  • This carryover does not apply to the daily black data
  • Voice minutes, SMS and data can be accumulated to a maximum of 2 x the inclusive value
  • For mid-month activation, the pro-rated inclusive value of the first month will be carried over till the end of the second month

Can I add a data bundle to get a lower in-bundle data rate?

Data bundles may be added at any time. You can purchase bundles on the Cell C App or dial *147#. 

Can I upgrade or migrate to the MediaPlay Plans?

Yes, you have the option to migrate or upgrade to the MediaPlay Plans. 

What is the duration of the contract?

You can sign-up for a month-to-month or 24-month contract. Handset deals are only 24 months. 

Who is the inclusive daily black data available to?

The inclusive daily black data is available to customers on all MediaPlay plans, PostPaid and TopUp. The black data will be automatically added, there is nothing for the customer or agent to do. 

Will I have to pay extra for black subscription or black data?

No, the black subscription and black data offering will be included in your monthly subscription. 

Will I get black subscription or black data every month?

Yes, the black subscription or black data will be allocated monthly for the duration of the contract. 

How long is the daily black data valid for?

The daily black data allocation is valid for one day. A daily FUP of either 2GB or 4GB applies. There is no carry-over of any unused black data. 

Can I use my black data for any other internet use?

No. black data can only be used for black usage (i.e. on the black platform). No other data usage will be allowed using the inclusive black data. 

Can I use my black data if I am roaming on Vodacom?

National roaming will NOT be allowed when using the inclusive black data. 

Can I use my black data if I am roaming internationally?

No. International roaming will NOT be allowed. 

If I use up all my black data, will I still be able to access and use the black platform?

  • However, further black usage will deplete data from your normal allocation of inclusive data.
  • If that is also depleted, then the usage will deplete from any available data bundle and finally when no data is available usage will be billed to the customer’s bill at 16c/MB. 

What does FLEXI Access include?

FLEXI Access includes access to local movies, series, music, documentaries and so much more. 

What does FLEXI Premium include?

FLEXI Premium includes access to local and international movies, series, music, documentaries and so much more. 

What does BINGE Premium include?

BINGE Premium includes FLEXI Premium PLUS BTV Premium 24/7 with over 60 TV channels.

You can check your balance in the following ways:

  • Download the Cell C App on your Android or iPhone smartphone, or
  • Register for Self Service online, or
  • Dial *101# to check your balance, or
  • Dial *147#.

Unlimited Free black Data Promotion:

All customers who sign up for one of the MediaPlay Mobile plan will qualify for the Unlimited Free black Data Promotion, which ends on 10 November 2018. This Unlimited Free black Data Promotion entitles you to free streaming/browsing of black content on the black platform when you subscribe to one of the black subscription services and/or purchase/rent a movie from the black platform. Once the Unlimited Free black Data Promotion ends on 10 November 2018, the inclusive black data on your plan will apply (where applicable). Terms and Conditions - New MediaPlay Mobile Postpaid and TopUp Plans

  1. The MediaPlay packages are available on both Postpaid and TopUp for new and existing customers.
  2. All standard terms and conditions of Cell C Limited and Cell C Service Provider Company (Pty) Ltd apply.
  3. Customers who take out a SIM card only MediaPlay package deal have a choice of Month to Month, 6, 12, 18 and 24-month contract length.
  4. MediaPlay Packages comprises of both a handset and SIM card are available on 24 (twenty-four) month contracts only.
  5. Customers are allowed to create their own deals by selecting their preferred MediaPlay package, handset and contract term. Please note that if you choose a MediaPlay package which includes a handset, you must take a 24 (twenty-four) month contract and you will not be allowed to choose your contract term.
  6. All prices and usage rates advertised include VAT, unless otherwise stated.
  7. A once-off SIM and Connection Fee of R199 (including VAT), will be charged for new activations.
  8. The MediaPlay packages will be available through all Cell C sales channels. Visit www.cellc.co.za to locate your nearest Cell C store.
  9. The following MediaPlay packages are available on Postpaid and TopUp for new and existing customers.

  1. The cost of the customised MediaPlay package will depend on the handset chosen by the customer.
  2. New and existing customers signing up for the MediaPlay packages qualify for the MediaPlay Postpaid and Top Up packages, subject to the relevant credit vetting rules.
  3. The MediaPlay packages, Postpaid and TopUp, are available to all new and existing customers.
  4. The first month's inclusive benefits (minutes/SMS/data) and subscription will be pro-rated depending on the date of activation of the package; thereafter the benefits will be credited monthly on the 1st of every calendar month.
  5. The inclusive minutes can be used for calls, including Wi-Fi Calling, to any local network in South Africa but cannot be used for International Calling and Roaming and premium rated or special number calls.
  6. There is a one calendar month carryover of any unused inclusive value, namely voice minutes, SMS and data.
    • This carryover only applies to the inclusive value of the monthly package
    • This carryover does not apply to the daily black data
    • Voice minutes, SMS and data can be accumulated to a maximum of 2 x the inclusive value
    • For mid-month activation, the pro-rated inclusive value of the first month will be carried over till the end of the second month
  7. The billing increment will be per second billing from the 1st second for a voice call and 25KB for data increments.
  8. Data bundles purchased will be charged at the applicable data bundle rates and added to the customer's monthly invoice as an additional charge or debited against airtime for TopUp.
  9. The existing International Calling and Roaming rates will apply. International Calling and Roaming will be charged as out of bundle usage and added to the customer's monthly invoice.
  10. International SMS/MMS, Premium Rated SMS/MMS or any other Value-Added Services subscription services or bundle purchases will be charged as out of bundle usage and added to the customer's monthly invoice.
  11. Community Service Telephones, Low Cost Routing and WASPs/Premium Rated Services will be billed at applicable out of bundle rates.
  12. Cell C will not be liable for charges incurred where the subscriber dials non-qualifying numbers.
  13. Data consumption while roaming internationally will not deplete from the inclusive airtime value or any bundles purchased. Data roaming rates will apply and will be charged as out of bundle usage.
  14. All out of bundle usage for Postpaid customers will be added to the customer's monthly invoice.
  15. TopUp customers on the MediaPlay packages will only have access to all services billed out of bundle if they have sufficient airtime in their airtime wallet.
  16. Value Added Services activated at point of sale can be added to the customer's monthly invoice as per customer's request.
  17. Upward and downward migrations to and from the MediaPlay packages is allowed.
    • The existing handset value will be carried over to the new contract.
    • Existing inclusive benefits on the old plan will be forfeited.
    • For black, customers will be migrated to the black subscription of the new plan.
  18. Customers who migrate out of the new MediaPlay Plans, will lose the inclusive black subscription and streaming benefit.
    • Migration fees may apply.
    • Monthly device subscription will be carried over.
  19. Where the customer has fully depleted the inclusive value before end of the month, the applicable out-of-bundle rates will apply.
  20. Cancellation of the contract on one of the MediaPlay packages will include standard Cell C cancellation fees and penalties. This includes all remaining device costs and any migration fees. Visit the nearest Cell C store for more information on contract cancellation.
  21. Should you cancel your contract prior to the expiry of the 24-month contract period, the inclusive black subscription will also be cancelled. In addition, there will be a clawback on devices and on any applicable remaining cash back value
  22. Existing Postpaid and TopUp customers that are due for an upgrade shall be allowed to upgrade to the New Contract Plans
    • Existing benefits will be forfeited.
    • The customer will qualify for the inclusive benefits of the MediaPlay Plan. 

    Inclusive black Subscription and black data
  23. The black subscription will be part of the monthly inclusive value on the MediaPlay Packages.
    1. Customers will be required to provide a valid email address at time of activation
    2. This email address will be need to be verified by the customer and will be used to register the customer on black and activate their inclusive black
  24. The monthly black subscription will be available monthly for a calendar month.
  25. After the contract has matured, the contract plan and the black subscription will continue on a month-to-month basis, until the contract has been cancelled
  26. Customers on MediaPlay Plans (Postpaid and TopUp), will qualify for FREE daily black The FREE daily black data will form part of the monthly MediaPlay inclusive benefits. A daily Fair Usage Policy (FUP) of either 2GB or 4GB applies. Once the FUP is depleted, other inclusive or purchased data will be used before black data out-of-bundles (OOB) rates apply.
  27. The inclusive FREE daily black data can only be used for the streaming/browsing of black content on the black
  28. Usage on the “Bet”, “Play” and “Ticket” services on the black platform is excluded from the inclusive FREE daily black
  29. National roaming will not be allowed when using black data (on-net only).
  30. Streaming/browsing on the black platform will be charged at an OOB rate of R0.16 across all MediaPlay plans.
  31. There is no carryover of this unused black data from month to month. Any unused value will be forfeited.
  32. Upward and downward migrations to and from the MediaPlay packages is allowed.
    • The existing handset value will be carried over to the new contract.
    • Existing inclusive benefits on the old plan will be forfeited.
    • For black, customers will be migrated to the black subscription of the new plan.
    General
  33. If a customer does not comply with these terms and conditions and/or the processes applicable, Cell C reserves the right to refuse the customer from taking up the MediaPlay offer.
  34. It is important that you understand that all customers who make use of the CELL C MEDIAPLAY Mobile plans indemnify Cell C, its directors, affiliates, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, suppliers, contractors and sponsors against any loss or damages, either direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from their use of the CELL C MEDIAPLAY Mobile plans.
  35. Cell C reserves the right to suspend the MediaPlay packages in its sole discretion, including when any fraudulent activity is suspected, and if the outcome of an investigation proves that fraudulent activity did occur, Cell C shall be entitled to terminate.
  36. Cell C has the right to withdraw or shorten the duration of MediaPlay packages in its sole and absolute discretion and will notify customers if it chooses to do so. Customers will not have a claim against Cell C in this event.

How do the CELL C MediaPlay Data plans work?

You will need a Cell C USIM and a LTE capable router to get started. Once you receive your SIM, insert it into your router and you will connect to the Cell C LTE network.

Your first data bundle will be loaded as soon as your SIM is activated – this bundle will be pro-rated, depending on the days remaining in the month (your first month’s subscription is also pro-rated). Thereafter all new bundles will be allocated on the first of the month and are valid until the end of the month. 

What happens at the end of the 24-month contract period?

Once your contract term matures, you will revert to a month-on-month contract. 

What are the exclusions?

  1. Cell C MediaPlay Data plans exclude access to Cell C’s 2G and 3G network (including roaming).
  2. Multi-Data Connect is not compatible with CELL C MediaPlay plans.
  3. CELL C MediaPlay Data plans are excluded from Data Transfer.

    1. Participating Cell C company owned Stores;
    2. Participating Cell C Franchise stores;
    3. Cell C Direct on 084 145;
    4. Via the Cell C Online portal;
    5. Participating Retailers; and
    6. Participating XSP's.
  3. Cell C's Standard credit vetting process and business rules apply.
  4. Standard RICA process and business rules apply. These shall be found at https://www.cellc.co.za/cellc/static-content/PDF/RICA.pdf
  5. CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATA plans are offered only for "fixed" usage and are not suited for use on mobile/portable devices. CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATA will only work on a LTE enabled device coupled with a Cell C USIM.
  6. The CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATA plans exclude voice usage.
  7. CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATA plans offer LTE-only access with no fall back to 2G/3G. Should your LTE coverage be weak or fail, you will not have any 3G/2G coverage.
  8. There will be no national roaming on Vodacom on the CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATA plans.

LTE/LTE-A Coverage

  1. It is very important that customers first confirm that they have sufficient LTE/LTE-A coverage before purchasing any of the Cell C MEDIAPLAY DATA plans.
  2. For coverage information customers can:
    1. Visit https://www.cellc.co.za/cellc/coverage-map
    2. Call the call centre on 084 135 or
    3. Enquire at a Cell C store
  3. A Seven Day Return Policy will be applicable where a customer's fixed home/ address was validated for LTE coverage and it turns out that the customer does not have LTE coverage at home. A Cell C technician must first verify this. A customer can then cancel their CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATA contract at the Cell Store, or by calling 084 145, within 7 (seven) days of purchase. in order to cancel your contract, the customer MUST also be in possession of the following:
    1. Valid proof of Purchase
    2. Cell C U SIM
    3. Physical Address that was validated, at the time of purchase, against the Cell C Coverage map for LTE/LTE-A coverage.
  4. This cancellation will only be allowed if the customer has no LTE/LTE-A signal at their physical address. Cell C will not be liable to any customer who does not cancel their contact within the 7 (seven) day window period, or should the customer have weak or insufficient coverage.
  5. CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATA plans are available as a SIM Only Contract (Postpaid) option. Certain Hero deals, with a device, may be available at the discretion of Cell C.
  6. CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATA customers must sign a 24-month contract.
    1. The first month’s subscription for the CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATA will be pro-rated.
    2. The first data allocation shall be pro-rated and provisioned as soon as RICA is completed and the line is activated.
  1. The CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATAinclusive benefits will be credited monthly, on the 1st of the month, for the duration of the contract.
  2. The inclusive black DATA will be credited monthly, on the 1st of the month, for the duration of the contract.
  1. The monthly contract subscription fee will be billed in advance and any out of bundle usage will be billed in arrears
  2. All Data and Non-Data usage (SMS and MMS) on the CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATA plans shall be billed at the following out of bundle rates.

Depletion rules

  1. The CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATA data bundle will expire on the last day of every calendar month at 23:59:59.
  2. Upon expiry, there shall be no roll over of unused data to the following month.
  3. Once the in-bundle data is depleted, customers shall be billed out of bundle at the applicable rate. Standard data billing increments will be at 25KB.
  4. Data cannot be used for international usage or data roaming.
  5. Data may not and cannot be transferred from one user to another, or converted into rand value.
  6. Once a customer has reached the daily black data streaming limit, as set out in the FUP, then the customer will be charged out of bundle usage, at the applicable rate.
  1. If a customer has a data bundle already loaded, the data bundle with the first expiry date will be depleted first, followed by the inclusive data of the CELL C MEDIAPLAY DATA.

What is the contract duration of MediaPlay Fibre?

  • Notwithstanding the date of the fibre installation, the use of the MediaPlay Fibre tariff plans will be on a month to month basis, until such time as MediaPlay Fibre is cancelled.
  • A 24-month pro-rated clawback in the event of an early cancellation of the contract, i.e. the customer will be liable for the outstanding pro-rata amount of the installation, connection, Wi-Fi router or black Smartbox (as applicable) should you cancel the contract within the first 24 month period from the service activation date. 

Is MediaPlay Fibre bundled with a mobile handset?

The C-Fibre Connector mobile service on MediaPlay Fibre is offered on SIM only and a mobile handset is not included as part of the service. The customer may purchase the mobile handset separately. 

Can an existing Cell C Fibre and Cell C mobile voice customer migrate to MediaPlay Fibre?

Migrations of existing Cell C Fibre and Cell C mobile voice tariff plans to MediaPlay Fibre are allowed. However, the Cell C mobile voice tariff plan will first be migrated to a pre-paid tariff plan, as customers are first required to settle any outstanding pro-rata clawback amounts owing on their mobile handsets, before their existing Cell C mobile line can be converted to the MediaPlay Fibre tariff plan. 

Are C-Fibre Connector mobile SIM cards offered on a post-paid or hybrid tariff plan?

C-Fibre Connector mobile SIM cards on MediaPlay Fibre are available on a hybrid tariff plan and should the subscriber run out of the inclusive benefits, either they can go out of bundle or they can purchase a top-up bundle provided the SIM card is recharged with airtime to their airtime wallet. To send an SMS a customer will be required to recharge with airtime. 

Which numbers can I call using my inclusive any-net mobile voice minutes?

  • The inclusive mobile voice and Wi-Fi calling minutes will be applicable across all local mobile networks including national roaming.
  • Cell C will not be liable for charges incurred where the subscriber dials non-qualifying numbers. Qualifying numbers include all numbers that are serviced by National Mobile Operators, including Telkom and Neotel fixed lines in South Africa.
  • All international calling and premium rated calls will be excluded from the inclusive C-Fibre Connector mobile voice benefit. This usage will be billed at the applicable out of bundle rate, provided the C-Fibre Connector customer has sufficient airtime in their airtime wallet.
  • Community Service Telephones, Low Cost Routing and WASPs/Premium Rated Services will be billed at applicable out of bundle rates, provided the C-Fibre Connector customer has sufficient airtime in their airtime wallet. 

Can I use my inclusive data benefit when roaming internationally?

  • The inclusive mobile data benefit can only be used when the customer is on the Cell C network or on the network of Cell C’s South African roaming partners within South Africa.
  • Data consumption while roaming internationally will not deplete from the inclusive mobile data. International roaming Data rates will apply and this usage will be billed at the applicable out of bundle rate, provided the C-Fibre Connector customer has sufficient airtime in their airtime wallet. 

Is C-Fibre Connector on MediaPlay Fibre eligible for Multi SIM and dual device?

No, the individual mobile SIM cards provided on C-Fibre Connector plans have inclusive benefits allocated per SIM card and are not eligible for dual SIM and dual device. 

Will I pay a SIM and connection fee for every mobile SIM card linked to C-Fibre Connector on MediaPlay Fibre?

No, the SIM and connection fee is not applicable. 

Can I Port-In my mobile number to Cell C to take up this offer?

Yes, Port-IN of numbers will be allowed for customers porting from other mobile operators to the Cell C MediaPlay Fibre plan.  Port-IN will be applicable to C-Fibre Connector mobile SIM cards only. Port-IN will only be initiated once the C-Fibre service is active. 

How will the billing work?

  • Pro-rata billing of the monthly subscription fee will only apply in the first month that the fibre service is activated; thereafter the full month’s subscription based on the package selected will be due monthly. The billing increment will be per second billing from the 1st second for a voice call and 25KB for data increments.
  • In return for the provision of Services, you are required to pay the monthly Subscription Fee, which is billed to you in advance. The Subscription Fee that you pay at the end of a month is for the next month’s services.
  • Upon successful application for MediaPlay Fibre, Cell C will deduct an equivalent of one month’s subscription fee (plus any other applicable costs) immediately from the customer’s credit card, as an upfront payment for the MediaPlay Fibre service. In order to do so, Cell C will require the customer’s credit card details, in order to facilitate the upfront payment. 

Which black service do I have access to on MediaPlay Fibre?

MediaPlay Fibre offers access to the BINGE Premium entertainment package on black only. Should the customer wish to access other black services that include FOX channel, Rentblack, Buyblack, Kidsblack, Audioblack, Sportsblack, Playblack, Betblack or Ticketblack, they can do so directly on the black website or via the TV using the black Smartbox or via the black app; however, these services will come at an additional cost. 

What does BINGE Premium include?

BINGE Premium includes FLEXI Premium PLUS BTV Premium 24/7 with over 60 TV channels. 

Is black data available on C-Fibre Connector Mobile plan?

Customers that sign-up for MediaPlay Fibre will receive unlimited free black streaming data included on C-Fibre Connector Mobile. The unlimited free black streaming data is on promotion until 10 November 2018. 

Will I have to pay extra for unlimited black streaming data?

No, the unlimited black streaming data included on C-Fibre Connector Mobile is free until 10 November 2018, after which customers will be required to purchase additional data bundles or black data bundles to stream content on their mobile phones.

Can I use my unlimited black streaming data for any other internet use?

No, the unlimited black streaming data included on C-Fibre Connector Mobile can only be used for black usage (i.e. streaming content on the black platform). No other data usage will be allowed using the inclusive free unlimited black data. 

Can I use my unlimited black streaming data if I am roaming on Vodacom?

No, national roaming on Vodacom, will NOT be allowed when using the inclusive free unlimited black data. 

Can I use my unlimited black streaming data if I am roaming internationally?

No, international roaming will NOT be allowed.

How do I activate my BINGE Premium entertainment package on black?

  • Activate BINGE Premium
    • Step 1: In order to provide you with access to the BINGE Premium entertainment package on black, Cell C requires you to verify your email address and account for security reasons. You will receive an email, immediately your order is created, with an email verification link.
    • Step 2: Click on the link provided on email, to proceed with the email verification process.
    • Step 3: You will be re-directed to a webpage, where you will be required to enter in the text box, your primary mobile number linked to your MediaPlay Fibre Order if you are a new customer or your mobile number linked to your Cell C account if you are an existing Cell C customer.
    • Step 4: Once your email address and account has been verified, your account on black will be activated and you will receive your login details (username and password) to access your black Please note that the BINGE Premium package will only be active, once your Fibre line is installed and the Fibre service activated. Is a black Smartbox included in the MediaPlay Fibre plan?

Yes, customers will receive a black Smartbox as part of the MediaPlay Fibre offer. In addition, customers can also download and/or stream the BINGE Premium entertainment package from the black Android and iOS apps, as well as stream from any compatible PC and/or tablet. 

Will I be able to start using the service as soon as I sign up for it?

  • No, to activate MediaPlay Fibre service, a customer first needs to be activated on the fibre service. MediaPlay Fibre service will be in a pending state until the fibre installation is complete and activated.
  • A MediaPlay Fibre customer will be required to complete the email verification process, which is initiated once the order and an email verification link is sent to the customer, in-order for the customer account to be created on black. This is a mandatory step without, which a customer will not have access to their BINGE Premium package on black.
  • The BINGE Premium entertainment package on black will be activated as soon as the Fibre service is activated.
  • RICA, Port-IN and Shipping of C-Fibre Connector mobile SIM cards, black Smartbox and Wi-Fi Router will only be initiated once the fibre has been installed and the fibre service has been activated and not prior to this happening.

How long does it take to have my fibre line installed and connected after placing my order with Cell C?

The turnaround times are dependent on the fibre network operator servicing your area. The time to install and be connected will vary between 7 working days and up-to 6 weeks for areas that are active or fibre rollout is in progress.

  1. It is important that you understand and agree to these Terms and Conditions, as well as the C-Fibre Terms and Conditions (which are available on the Cell C website) in order to make use of the Cell MediaPlay Fibre service.
  2. It is important that you understand that Cell C does not own the fibre network, the fibre lines or the Consumer Premises Equipment (“CPE”) installed at your premises and that these remain the property of the Fibre Network Operators (“FNO”) at all times.
  3. MediaPlay Fibre is a converged tariff plan offering uncapped fibre, C-Fibre Connector mobile that’s inclusive of mobile voice, mobile data, mobile Wi-Fi calling benefits and BINGE Premium entertainment package on black with access to over 60 TV channel’s, local and international movies, series, music, sport, live TV, kid’s shows, documentaries and much more.
  4. Notwithstanding the date of the C-Fibre installation, the use of the MediaPlay Fibre tariff plans will be on a month to month basis, until such time as MediaPlay Fibre is cancelled by either you or Cell C in accordance with the respective rights set out in these Terms and Conditions.
  5. A 24 month pro-rated clawback in the event of an early cancellation of the contract, i.e. the customer will be liable for the outstanding pro-rata amount of the installation, connection, Wi-Fi router or black SmartBox (as applicable) should they cancel the contract within the first 24 month period from the service activation date.
  6. Upon successful application for MediaPlay Fibre, Cell C will deduct an equivalent of one month’s subscription fee (plus any other applicable costs) immediately from your credit card, as an upfront payment for the MediaPlay Fibre service.
  7. In order to do so, Cell C will require your credit card details, in order to facilitate the upfront payment.
  8. In return for the provision of Services, you agree to pay the monthly Subscription Fee, which is billed to you in advance. The Subscription Fee that you pay at the end of a month is for the next month’s services.
  9. If the Agreement starts later than the first day of any month then the first month’s Subscription Fee and Inclusive Benefits will be pro-rated.
  10. The C-Fibre Connector mobile service offered on the MediaPlay Fibre tariff plan is offered on a SIM only basis.
  11. A mobile handset or device is not included as part of the mobile service and customers can purchase this separately.
  12. The mobile service is not eligible for dual SIM and dual device.
  13. The mobile SIM cards are subject to RICA.
  14. The mobile SIM cards are enabled on a hybrid tariff plan. Should the subscriber run out of their inclusive mobile benefits, they can either go out of bundle or purchase a top-up bundle provided the airtime wallet is recharged with airtime.
  15. To send an SMS a customer will be required to recharge with airtime.
  16. SIM and connection fee is not applicable to the mobile SIM cards.
  17. SIM Swap is applicable to the mobile SIM cards only.
  18. Should the subscriber have an existing mobile handset / handsets linked to their existing standard Cell C mobile services, they will be provided with the option of settling the outstanding amount on the mobile handset/handsets once-off before signing up for C-Fibre Connector tariff plan.
  19. Port-IN of numbers is allowed for customers porting from other mobile operators to MediaPlay Fibre. Port-IN will only be initiated once the fibre service is installed and active.
  20. Free black streaming data is included on C-Fibre Connector Mobile until 10 November 2018, after which customers will be required to purchase additional data bundles or black data bundles to stream content on their mobile phones.
  21. Conversion of existing Cell C mobile voice tariff plans to MediaPlay Fibre tariff plan is allowed, however the Cell C mobile tariff plan will first be migrated to a pre-paid tariff plan. Customers are first required to settle any outstanding pro-rata clawback amounts owing on their mobile handset before their existing Cell C mobile line can be converted to the MediaPlay Fibre tariff plan.
  22. The inclusive mobile voice minutes, mobile data and Wi-Fi calling minutes’ benefits on MediaPlay Fibre cannot be transferred to any new or existing Cell C mobile voice tariff plan when a MediaPlay Fibre customer converts their lines to a standalone Cell C mobile voice tariff plan. The inclusive benefits will be forfeited upon conversion.
  23. Customers that sign-up for MediaPlay Fibre will receive unlimited free black streaming data included on C-Fibre Connector Mobile. The unlimited free black streaming data is on promotion until 10 November 2018.
